Creative Multimedia is a two different meaning words that combined together and become a single meaning that is more powerful and more commercial . Creative means that the ability to think differently or to produce a new or a better product than the existing one . Multimedia means the media and content that utilizes a combination of various different content forms such as video , sound , animation and more . The faculty of Creative Multimedia integrates academic study with extensive creative digital technology production work . In the Faculty of Creative Multimedia , there is 5 majoring that one can choose from that is Film & Animation(FA) , Media Innovation(MI) , Digital Media(DM) , Interface Design(ID) and also Virtual Reality(VR) .
As the preparation to become a FCM student , one should have be prepared mentally and physically to walk the journey as a FCM student . Some outside world people will look us as the weird one or maybe the crazy one but that is what will make us become more strong and succeed in the future later . There is a few factors that we have taken count as the factors that one should have to becoming a FCM student . Examples of the factors are friends and family , mind , money , time and entertainment .
Let us start with the most important factors that someone really need to become a FCM student that is the MIND . FCM student need not only a strong mind but to be creative as much as he or she can . A FCM student need a very strong and creative mind so that they could survive in the working society when they are graduate later in the future . They must be ready to accept rejection of ideas and thoughts because creativity is a very subjective matter that everyone has their own perspective view on it . They shouldn’t give up easily and the mind has to be set and alert all the time . Rejections and critiques has to taken as a motivation so that they can learn from the mistake and learn not to commit the same mistake anymore . Besides that , FCM student has to have a creative mind so that their ideas and end products will stand out from the others . Creativity in this term means FCM student need to have the courage to do and think something that is different and be able to produce a quality product later on .
The next factor is the time factor . As a FCM student , they have to be aware that time is always the problem for them to submitting their assignments and tasks . So , in this case , it is clearly seen that time management is very important for a FCM student to know their time and being able to submit their assignment on time . It is normal to sacrifice time with their friends and family because it is their responsibility as a student and they must be ready to face all those situation that will happen . Besides that , a good time management will make sure the student are able to experience the real working scenario so that they are well prepared before they graduate and enter the working world later on .
Entertainment is one the factors that a FCM student should have in them . Entertainment her e means that the element of the entertainment that a FCM student should have such as loving animations and graphics and most importantly they really have the passion on this field . Without the passion and love for this course , certainly the person will never enjoy the process of the learning and it will be a waste of time . Knowledge and experience about those software and about media are more focused because it is one of the factor that can lead to a better FCM student .

Money is also one of the factors that is needed by someone to become a FCM student . Money here means that one should learn to save and manage their money well . In FCM , most of the assignments will need their students to do printings and also different kinds of submission for their assignments and here is where the money factors is counted . Besides that , as FCM student , there is also a few gadgets that they should have such as a DSLR camera that certainly not cheap at the moment . They have to learn to save and manage their financial well so that they will not faced any problem later on . It is a good start for a FCM student as they will learn to manage their money well and in the future later on , they will learn to spend wisely .
Money management is one the important factors
Friends and family is the last factors that FCM student should be aware with . As time passed by , they will learn to know their friends personality and good with bad times will go with the flow . Jealous , backstab , hate and hypocrite will happen and they have to used their maturity to judge and learn to choose a good friend . Times with the family will become lesser and they will have to bear with it because it is their responsibility to excel in their studies .
