Novelty, Innovation, Invention

Novelty

According to http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/novelty, the meaning of novelty is something new or unusual, the quality or state of being novel : newness, a small manufactured article intended mainly for personal or household adornment —usually used in plural and something (as a song or food item) that provides often fleeting amusement and is often based on a
theme —often used attributively.

In my mind, novelty means something new which create my human. Below are some picture which make us understand more about novelty.

Innovation

According to http://www.answers.com/topic/innovation, the meaning of innovation is the act of introducing something new or something newly introduced. In marketing dictionary, innovation means Product, service, or idea that is perceived by consumers as new. There are differing magnitudes of innovation. Adding bran to an established brand of breakfast cereal is considered a continuous innovation in that it constitutes a small change to an existing product with little market impact, as opposed to discontinuous innovations like the personal computer, which caused great societal impact. The public outcry against the "new" Coca-Cola belied the relatively small continuous innovation that it was. An innovative strategy uses continuous innovation to stay one step ahead of the competition.

My personal thought for innovation is market had introduce something that new and fresh to the user. Below are some pictures.

Invention

The meaning of invention is new scientific or technical idea, and the means of its embodiment or accomplishment. To be patentable, an invention must be novel, have utility, and be non-obvious. To be called an invention, an idea only needs to be proven as workable. But to be called an innovation, it must also be replicable at an economical cost, and must satisfy a specific need. That's why only a few inventions lead to innovations because not all of them are economically feasible.

In my mind, invention is some new process or idea coming from some place such as book.
